Research Mentoring Internship (RMI): Hands-on genomics research training for UCSC undergraduates. RMI Scholars receive hands-on experience in wet-lab or computational research with UCSC scientists or engage in faculty-directed research into the ethical, legal, and social implications of genomic research. RMI scholars also have professional development workshops, networking opportunities, and guidance in developing their science communication skills.
Paid positions are available: ($30/hr), 10 hrs/week for 10 weeks
Eligibility: All majors welcome, especially underrepresented populations in STEM

Deadline to apply: May 6th, 2024
No coding experience required, but encouraged for STEM applicants
Foundational biology knowledge necessary, except for ELSI research applicants
