Connecting with advisors
Please join peer advisor chat as your first stop for all undergraduate advising questions.
You can connect to Baskin Engineering peer advising during our open hours by adding (+) bsoepa@ucsc.edu to your Google Hangouts, (using your @ucsc email address) and sending a message through the chat. The chat function is on the bottom left of your Gmail screen. All drop-in requests start with peer advising. Peer advisors will connect students with staff Zoom drop-in as needed.
The fastest way to connect with an advisor is to visit our drop-in advising hours. We will try to accommodate requests and will make our best efforts to respond to emails as quickly as possible.
If you would like an appointment it must be scheduled by emailing bsoeadvising@ucsc.edu.

- Brief explanations or clarifications of Baskin Engineering policies or processes
- If you have a form that requires an academic plan or are being asked to submit a signed academic plan to a campus office
For critical, time-sensitive matters, please reach out to a staff advisor regarding:
- For all other needs, including signatures for time sensitive forms, such as enrollment, financial aid, or campus deadlines, send via email (with any appropriate form attached) to: bsoeadvising@ucsc.edu
- Please include in the subject line the date that the request is needed by and be sure to clearly state the request in the body of the email
