CRSN 151C: Sustainability in Textiles offers a hands-on approach to learning about textile production, reuse, and recycling. Explore the environmental impact of clothing while developing skills in sewing, weaving, dyeing, and fiber processing. May feature field trips and guest speakers!

Students will learn about issues concerning sustainability in textiles, including textile and clothing design, fiber and garment production, garment use and repair, and textile reuse, disposal and recycling. Course will include hands-on explorations with tools and techniques in areas such as natural fiber processing, sewing, weaving, and dying. May include local field trips and guest speakers. (3 units)
