Google Engineer Hans Boehm presents on the remaining challenges of C++ at Baskin Engineering

Who: Hans Boehm joined Google as a software engineer in the Android runtime group in 2014. Before that he held various positions at the University of Washington, Rice University, Xerox PARC, SGI (on the same campus as now), and most recently as research manager at HP Labs. He is an ACM Fellow and Google Researcher.

What: Please join the CSE faculty for weekly colloquium talks on Wednesdays from 11am-12:15pm in E2-180. This week, on October 22nd, we are honored to host Hans Boehm from Google. He will be presenting his talk titled, “The C++11 Concurrency Memory Model: Remaining Challenges”. A Q&A will follow and there will be refreshments, such as pastries and coffee from Iveta for all guests to enjoy. Undergrads and grads are encouraged to attend.
