Cybersecurity Career Survey

David Torres-Mendoza, a Ph.D. student in the CSE department at UC Santa Cruz, is conducting a research study to understand the motivations, challenges, and supports in the field of cybersecurity. He is seeking participants who are interested or have been interested in a cybersecurity career.

Who can participate?

  • Anyone with current or past interest in pursuing a cybersecurity career

What will you do?

  • Spend about 15 minutes on a survey
  • Participate in a 45-minute interview (if invited) either online or via Zoom, scheduled at your convenience

What’s in it for you?

  • Your participation will directly contribute to research that addresses racial and gender diversity in computing and cybersecurity
  • It’s a chance to share your own experiences and perspectives
  • For your time completing the survey, you will be entered into a raffle to win one of five $20 Amazon gift cards
  • If selected and you agree to participate in the interview, you’ll receive a $20 Amazon gift card as a thank you for your time
