Are you seeking an opportunity to build a side project for real clients? UCSC Blueprint is a student organization that creates technological solutions for social good. We have partnered with many non-profits including Sea Otter Savvy, Native Animal Rescue of Santa Cruz County, Santa Cruz Mountains Art Center, and more. This year, UCSC Blueprint is looking for a Project Lead for the 2024-2025 school year who can lead a team to create a software product, including but not limited to mobile applications or websites. 

Expectations for this role:

• Practice leadership skills by working closely with the project team including designers and developers. Assist developers in any technical issues such as debugging and training project members. Expect that our developers have some experience in programming. The Project Lead is only responsible for helping members familiarize themselves with tools or resolve task issues. 
• Frequently meet with the project’s partner to discuss and update progress.
• Communicate with the VP of Projects, VP of Tech, and Co-Presidents about project progress and attend meetings and social events of UCSC Blueprint.   

Qualification:

• Leadership skills: working in a team, leading a team for specific tasks/projects, or tutoring
• Experience in developing mobile apps or websites
• Any programming languages, preferred at least one of these: Java/JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, etc 
• Familiar with React/React Native, Node.js, and database tools such as Firebase
